The refrigerant R-22 and its impact on the ozone

Among the employed, there are 2 groups of Freon refrigerants: chlorofluorocarbons (CFC) and hydrofluorocarbon (HCFC). The group of chlorofluorocarbons refrigerants include R-11, R-12, R-500 and R-502, and hydrofluorocarbons refers to R-22 refrigerant.

Now scientists are trying to choose the alternative data components, since they are not the best way affect the ecology of the Earth, namely spoil the ozone ball that protects against ultraviolet radiation; and that enhance the internal heat of the atmosphere (greenhouse effect).

Refrigerant R22 differs less hazardous impact on the ozone layer than all the others, but it has a negative effect. Therefore, today the international organizations running programs that restrict and prohibit the production and use of refrigerants in this category. Therefore phased out production of CFC R-11 and R-12, but the refrigerant R-22 is still widely used throughout the world, including in Ukraine. Replace the refrigerant R-22 is nothing, as necessary, the mixture of several ingredients which are sufficiently stable at the output of a batch of refrigerant.
